Jonathan Dixon3 StarEdit summer 2022: post pandemic (and post Uber price increases haha) I've tried A1 a couple more times and found a lot of the issues I was facing before appear to have been ironed out. Online booking has been simple and the drivers I've had seem quite competent.
I've not tried any mobile app or meet and greet service so can't comment on improvements there, but the feel a solid 3.5 stars at this point and if I get a couple more reliable journeys I'll call it 4 :))
Summer 2019: Used several times and always gets the job done after a fashion, but an ever increasing list of niggles has put me off, for example:
- online booking form is a pain to use (keeps losing the street address)
- credit card booking always fails, alway have to run around for cash
- the "track driver" link they send shows a blank page
- the "rate driver/ send feedback" link is also broken
- their android app crashes half way through registration
- I get a barrage about 8 texts & emails per booking for the above links, all complete waste of time.
- OTOH a simple text saying WHERE to meet in heathrow is not provided
- the driver had seemingly never done a meet & greet before, and not been briefed on how to do it: he was wondering about arrivals with no name board, did not proactively contact me to explain how to find him, did not know the terminal "meet points" existed, and frankly looked like he was still in his PJs. 12 mins wasted searching around at the end of a very tiring journey. Definitely not worth the £15 upcharge
Overall, 2 stars as the journeys have always got me there, but every one of their "extra conveniences" turn out to be total inconveniences in actualityTuesday 16th August 2022
Brian Greco5 StarAmazing quick service last minute at 5am from Harpenden to Luton Airport. No Ubers or Bolts were accepting the ride. Funny how an industry goes full circle and a professional cab supplier can come in handy. Good app and AirPay online payment to avoid needing cash or card. Professional driver in a Prius. Would use again for LTN!Monday 1st August 2022

Paula Willoughby1 StarI can’t respond to your inaccurate response. We got into the taxi that can to our house. Your driver went to the wrong house or how could we have got into wrong taxi. My neighbour had 6 passengers and so was supposed to have a bigger car. Her car never turned up at all.
You haven’t replied to the fact that I was charged twice!!! I see whenever you get a negative response you blame your customer!! What happened to customer first????Saturday 12th February 2022
