Abbey Rose House

The home has spacious communal areas and quite rooms. There is a large secluded and mature garden to the rear of the property.

Abbeyrose House is a friendly family run home and has been under current ownership since February 2000.

Location

Abbeyrose House is conveniently situated in a quiet residential area, half a mile from Maidstone Town centre. It is within short walking distance to shops, bus stops and other local amenities.

Accommodation

We have 27 single rooms and one double companion room. Over half of our bedrooms are ensuite. All rooms are furnished and decorated. Residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms. Each of the 29 beds has a nurse call point which are also in lounges, washrooms and throughout the home.

Our home is maintained to a high standard of décor and cleanliness. The bedrooms are allocated over three floors with lifts accessing all floors.

Many bedrooms have views over the surrounding countryside and town.

The lounges and dining areas enable everyone to relax and enjoy time together. The garden is easily accessible offering a quiet, private setting to enjoy fresh air.

Facilities

We have facilities to promote dignity and independence. We also have a visiting hairdresser, optician and chiropodist.

The house has a large garden with vegetable plot and fruit trees which allows residents to be involved and enjoy the produce.

Visits by health professionals can be arranged.

Trips can be organised for residents according to their wishes and ability.

Meals

Home cooked meals are available at most mealtime and snacks during the day and night. Any specific dietary requirement can be accommodated, celebratory meals when the food is appropriately themed occur for birthdays and special festivals. Meals can be taken to residents rooms as required.

Staff

A caring professionally trained team of staff are on hand who provide support and personalised care to each individual. Staff are trained in meeting needs of a person with Dementia. Knowing a person's life history is beneficial to staff in helping them understand the individual's care needs.
