I came to visit my grandfather a couple weeks ago. I wasn't fond of the care home, it had a funny off putting smell. However I thought I'd give it a chance because it's not all about the looks and smells. I got to my grandfather's room, at this particular moment he had asked the senior carer to have a shower. She told him no because it was a nusence to hoist him upstairs to the only vacant shower room and insisted he wash his face with a flannel. She was fairly rude and didn't help him wash, she handed the flannel to him and said wash your face. In the end I helped my grandfather as the senior carer walked away. Later I asked if he could be transferred to the wheelchair so I could take him out. She told me that my grandfather had to stay in bed and didn't explain the reason for this. My grandfather wasn't particularly happy and neither was I.

My Auntie is a resident. We have always found the staff to be very friendly, helped us organise an impromptu party celebrating one of her granddaughters wedding, have always helped with our little surprise tea parties and let our little sausage Bertrum visit. THE HOME IS CLEAN AND WELL RUN.My mother in law had the misfortune to be with Bupa home and I can tell you that this home is far superior in every way. Enquiries made with staff have always been responded to promptly, and there is always a good friendly buzz .........thank you staff and management .. Sarah and Jac

My mother phoned up to ask if my gran was ok as she hasn't been able to see her for a week. The lady who answered was very rude and told her not to call at lunchtimes, she said she would call back with a result but never did
