Fantastic canal side pub. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. Table service was excellent. The food was outstanding and there are a great set of draught beers. Lovely atmosphere with some very good song selections. Dog friendly. Would definitely recommend you come here.

Met friends for lunch here today as a ‘half-way’ point between our home. We’ll definitely meet here again. The food was good. The vegetarian options for mains are limited but the falafel burger I had was nice. The waitress who served us was excellent. She smiled as soon as we came through the door & continued to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. She mentioned that they were short staffed due to illness, but from a customers point of view - we wouldn’t have had a clue. Great riverside location. The only let down is they don’t serve decaf coffee. But, otherwise it was an enjoyable experience.

We saw the New Year in at the Admiral Nelson with the most amazing eight course taster menu which included some paired wines and liqueurs. Every course was an absolute delight, the service was outstanding and it was fantastic value for money. The whole evening was faultless, get out your booking diary guys and sign us up for next year :)

Haven't been in 25 years since my girls were little. Still lovely and going back for lunch next week. Only thing is the lovely kids play area has gone otherwise we would have brought my now grown up girls and the grandchildren
