Akash Tandoori restaurant is one of those places you walk past during the daytime and never notice it's there. That's a big mistake. This venue serves some of  the nicest food I have tasted. Lots of flavours and cooked piping hot. Staff are pleasant and polite, venue is clean and tastefully decorated. On this occasionI i had, poppadoms for starters with 4 different sauce dips all full of flavour, for main the Tandoori chicken which came on a sizzling plate on a bed of onions, pilue rice, curry sauce, fries and a garlic nan bread. All the food was full of flavour and tasted really good. Definitely worthy of the 5 star review. Staff are very respectful and time their visits to your table without it being obtrusive. From street level you have to take a flight of stairs up to the restaurant. Most of the seating is set out so you feel as if you are at your own private Booth but they also cater for larger parties which is more open. There is also a bar area with a good selection of wines and beers. Toilets are up another level of stairs so the only downside is it's not really suitable for disabled or impaired walking. Taxis can be called via the restaurant or easily obtained within a 2min walk around the corner. If you like Indian food then you need to try this place out on your next visit to Blackpool If this review was informative enough for you give it a thumbs up or like to let other know about the place.

We visited on a very busy Saturday at around 7:30ish. The staff here are excellent. They are very friendly. We had drinks and starters and main course. We had poppadoms and sauces for the starter. I remember the chilli sauce being very good. The main course we had was chicken tikka biryani, lamb bhuna with garlic and keema naan bread. I found the curries lacked depth with the Madras missing bite. They were flavourless and not the distinct different dishes that I was expecting. I always have a chicken Madras at a new curry house as it's a good barometer to judge that they are good at the classic dishes. I have friends that say this is their favourite curry house so maybe I visited on the wrong day. I'm not sure if I'll visit again.

Tried the restaurant because of the their high-rating and it was mesmerising. We ordered the Lamb Tikka Curry with Special Fried Rice and Prawn Biryani. Both dishes are very delicious but I believe curries are their main specials. The lamb was super tender and melted in your mouth. The owner and staffs are friendly as well. Totally worth the visit and recommended.

Visited almost 3 weeks ago, Iqbal was very friendly, its a family run restaurant business and when I visited for a takeaway order around midnight, the energy seen in the staff attending to a big Stag Party, was commendable. Despite being busy they entertained me well, I enjoyed perks of a free beer on the house after having a candid chat with Iqbal, by the time my order was getting ready. Food tasted good, will surely recommend
