Beautiful old church. I have been inside a few times. Most recently in support of my husband, riding from Suffolk to Rettendon Common in support of Friends of Essex Churches Trust #FOECT #RideandStride. This raises funds for the restoration of our Christian Churches. He cycled 78 miles and raised a few hundred pounds.

Well I am biased as I grew up in Terling and so my life has linked to the church in many ways from Sunday school as a small child to more recently saying goodbye to a family member in my late 50's. The church has stood there over the years, seemingly never changing, although it recently had the cedar wooden tiles on its steeple replaced with oak ones. A place for quiet reflection whether inside or outside the church. Still a place for services, weddings etc and it has not fallen out of use like alot of smaller churches. There is parking for a small number of cars on the green outside the church grounds. One bit of information that not everyone will remember is that Ronnie Barker and Ronnie Corbett filmed a wedding scene at this church when I was still at primary school. I remember queuing up as a child to get Ronnie Barker's autograph and Ronnie Barker getting a bit flustered as he had to keep reshooting a scene where he knocked his hat off getting into the wedding car as it was not quite right :)

Small rural church. Typical of its time. Go and look at the nearby ford

Church was built on this site in the C13th with the bell tower being added in the C18th. The body of the church was almost entirely rebuilt in the C19th. The church is normally open for visitors in this pretty village.
