The team at Altered Image will always look forward to seeing you... Carmen is the Director/Senior stylist, having owned the salon since December 2014. A home from home for Carmen and she will always put you ease. With over 18 years in the hairdressing industry, specialising in colouring, cutting and perming. A gifted stylist and an extension technician always up for a challenge. As a leading business woman, Carmen has worked hard to expand into an award winning salon and it wouldn’t be the same without Carmen’s bubbly personality and dedication to her team! Amanda is definitely you go to girl when it comes to cutting men’s hair. Amanda has even gone on and entered worldwide competitions placing first in ‘Hair Tattooing’ and second in ‘Barbering’. Amanda isn’t only a barber she is a colour perfectionist and is your Balayage QUEEN! We have our very own trained BARBER in the salon. Grace is a colour specialist and loves working with blondes. During her apprenticeship, Grace worked on the salon floor and has already gained lots of experience at a young age. Grace is now continuing her career into level 3 hairdressing and working full time in the salon a fully qualified stylist. Grace has been with us from the beginning doing her apprenticeship here at Altered Image Hairdressers, so you know she will be up to our high standards! Grace is a colour specialist and loves working with blondes. During her apprenticeship, Grace worked on the salon floor and has already gained lots of experience at a young age. Grace is now continuing her career into level 3 hairdressing and working full time in the salon a fully qualified stylist. Georgia is a talented stylist and has over 3 years experience in hairdressing working with male and female clients. She is a skilled cutting stylist with an idea for detail and loves working with short hair cuts and creating everyone’s favourite “The Graduated Bob”. With a creative side , Georgia enjoys working with vivid colours. If you fancy a change in style, Georgia Is your girl! Georgia is a talented stylist and has over 3 years experience in hairdressing working with male and female clients. She is a skilled cutting stylist with an idea for detail and loves working with short hair cuts and creating everyone’s favourite “The Graduated Bob”. With a creative side , Georgia enjoys working with vivid colours. If you fancy a change in style, Georgia Is your girl! Lily is our 2nd year Salon Apprentice and she is excited to become fully qualified! Enrolled on a level 2 hairdressing course, she has a passion for all things hair! Lily is looking forward to building up her clientele and is naturally talented when putting her skills into practise! By booking with Lily you really are helping to build her future! Everything goes towards her qualification…*Please note: Lily will be supervised while carrying out any service booked as she is still in training. Lily is our 2nd year Salon Apprentice and she is excited to become fully qualified! Enrolled on a level 2 hairdressing course, she has a passion for all things hair! Tina is an experienced nail technician who has owned Crown Nails-Newmarket for 3 years and is located within Altered Image Hairdressers. She has 22 years experience working in the nail industry and owning several salons up and down the country, so you know you will be in safe hands. Tina offers the full range of services from luxury pedicures in a massage chair to a wide range of colours and designs and always keeping up with the latest trends.

I booked an appointment in after seeing my friends hair and hearing great reviews. I had to wait quite a long time for my appointment (approx 2 months) but thought it was well worth the wait! 2 weeks before my original appointment they called to say they needed to push my appointment back by a week. I changed my plans so I could attend. Last week they called again saying they needed to move the appointment again. Explaining that I had already changed plans for the appointment and had been waiting a very long time, they said another stylist could fit me in. 4 days before my appointment they called again and asked to move the appointment again as they no longer have a stylist for that day. Don’t book in unless you want to be messed around. Would not recommend

I love this salon. The prices are very competitive and today Amanda did my hair. She took the time to really understand what I wanted and gave her recommendations, even though it meant more work. She was so bubbly and funny it made the time fly by. I am very pleased with my new haircut.
