The Pub

Set on the banks of the beautiful river Cam in the historic city of Cambridge, The Anchor pub, dining room and river terrace is a stone’s throw away from the world famous Queens’ College & its stunning Mathematical Bridge.

With a fantastic dining room overlooking the river and probably one of the best dining views ever we serve a fresh seasonal menu.  In our Upper & Lower decks we have several snug areas and a stunning riverside terrace watching over the punting and shenanigans on the river, there truly is something for everyone!

We are also very well known for Pink Floyd but just look at our walls to find out!  We are very proud of our heritage and everything to do with The Anchor so drop in and see us.

Heard great reviews from the anchor but i was deeply disappointed. Menu was just over complicated, overexpensive and bizarre. Bangers and mash with cabbage was £16. Food was stone cold and tasteless. On the other hand best pub near the river with loads of seats and good views of the river. Good veggie options too and they looked tastier than the non-veggie meals

Stopped in here for some lunch today whilst out and about in Cambridge. Food was lovely and very tasty - had the fish & chips and then sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Only real downside was that the waiter point-blank refused to accept cash as payment (which transpires to be completely illegal), and as such this caused a lot of frustration and issues when paying the bill, as one half of the party wished to use cash as their contribution. Otherwise a lovely lunch with a great view!

We had a great party here. My friends engagement. The atmosphere and staff were brilliant. The food was an ongoing buffet which they provided and it was the most delicious experience I've ever had. Absolutely awesome. Thank you so much. Top quality. We will be back. Fantastic location 🥰👌 Excellent 👍 XX
