Recently been there just off the main road heading out of Carlisle. Handy sized car park plenty of parking spaces. Store is of a good size well laid out and a wide range of products. Lots of items to choose from clean and tidy. Staff very helpful and friendly covid aware and rules and regulations enforced masks worn. A good shopping experience

I regularly shop at this store and have done for years with my mother and grandfather. As a regular shopper i've always received the best service, which has sooner changer. When helping my grandfather buy wine, i got asked, or should i say slyly, asked for my id. I understand this is needed but not when the staff have served me before without id? and with it? i am also covered in tattoos. I was denied service for my whole shop, including hair products. When i said okay and said i would wait outside they told my grandfather, he had to leave the premisses and would not be able to shop at the store at all because of me..."We have seen your with her you have to leave you cant buy anything" an 18 year old who happily chose to leave and forget the whole thing. 2 members of staff did this to me including one of which has served me frequently for alcohol. They raised their voice and where so rude... in front of cues of customers. I have never felt more embarrassed due to the disrespectful nature of those staff. Happily say i wont be shopping here again, i will stick to the one in town. This store must train staff well to allow under aged children to buy energy drinks and alcohol, but when it comes down to an elderly man and his granddaughter we are a menace to the shop... Well done B&M
