Bare Essentials is a professional beauty salon in south Oxfordshire, owned by myself, Becky Lay. I’m a therapist with a passion for aesthetics – I trained with the best at world-renowned Champney’s spa in 2000 and have been working in the beauty industry ever since, gaining experience in some wonderful salons.‍I took the plunge and opened my own beauty salon in West Hagbourne, South Oxfordshire, back in 2011. Bare Essentials is now a successful beauty business and I’m proud to offer a variety of beauty treatments, from pampering and relaxing to results-driven skin treatments, laser hair removal, and skin rejuvenation.‍In September 2019 we opened a second clinic up in Wantage, offering aesthetic treatments only. Ailsa has recently joined the team and now manages Wantage.We pride ourselves on putting our clients first at Bare Essentials, and we work with you to make sure that you get the results you’re looking for every time. Bare Essentials was opened in 2011 in the beautiful Oxfordshire village of West Hagbourne by Becky. The tranquil surroundings makes Bare essentials the perfect retreat, offering both relaxation and discretion. With an extensive treatment menu of beauty treatments, advanced aesthetic facials, non-invasive rejuvenation and semi-permanent makeup, the team prides themselves in putting clients first and works with you to make sure that you get the results you’re looking for every time.  At our clinic’s, we pride ourselves in offering you results-driven, industry leading treatments to improve your skin and achieve the results you are looking for each time.At our Wantage clinic, Ailsa specialises in advanced facials such as micro-needling, chemical peels and IPL / Laser treatment to remove pigmentation, thread veins and tattoos. Our visiting clinician Danielle is a registered nurse who offers a range of medical aesthetics treatments including dermal filler, anti-wrinkle injections, Profhilo and Aqualyx fat loss injections Becky is the owner of Bare Essentials and is a therapist with a passion for making clients feel good about themselves. Becky is very interested in helping clients live happier, healthier and more functional lives through alternative holistic treatments. She also loves working with non surgical treatments to help turn back the signs of ageing and making the skin glow. Ailsa has been working in the beauty and aesthetics industry since 2017 and is an experienced aesthetician with a passion for skin science. She is Level 4 qualified in Laser and IPL and manages our clinic in Wantage. Ailsa combines her expertise with the latest advanced aesthetic techniques to transform peoples skin and achieve the results they desire. Martina graduated as a dentist in 2011 and trained in all aspects of Maxillofacial and Dental surgery. Martina has gained an accredited Level 7 Certificate in Injectable Aesthetic Non-Surgical Interventions and holds weekly clinics in our Hagbourne location. With over 14 years of experience in the beauty and aesthetics industry, Jen specialises in Cryolipolysis, HIFU and selected injectable treatments once a month here at our Didcot salon. With a passion for skincare and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments, Jen is passionate about delivering high-quality services with a friendly and welcoming approach. Caz has over 15 years of experience working in beauty therapy and has completed many additional qualifications since 2006. Caz has a passion for skincare with facials being one of her most popular treatments. She loves achieving amazing results for her clients through eye treatments such as lash lifts and eyebrow shaping and she's excited to treat Bare Essentials’ lovely clients! Danielle is a registered nurse with 10 years of experience and holds regular clinics at Bare Essentials Wantage. Dani provides bespoke treatments to enhance your natural beauty and achieves subtle looking results every time. Her treatments include dermal filler, anti wrinkle injections, Aqualyx fat reduction, Vitamin B12 and Profhilo.

Wonderful, clean and quiet beauty salon. Booked the first available appointment after restrictions were lifted for an eyebrow and underarm wax. Becky did a great job. Was fast , friendly and very hygienic.
