Held my caravan here for a couple of years. Was genuinely happy until recently. Received a call from the owners to advise some issues with someone I let use my caravan last summer. Therefore wanted me to relocate. If I'd have known of the issues I'd have resolved them. I also had no issues with being asked to relocate. However, what I wasn't happy with was the owners accepting winter storage money at the end of last summer and then being asked to relocate at the beginning of May. Probably the hardest time of the year to find a permanent pitch for a large (6 meter) caravan. Why not tell me at the end of last summer or during the winter (before taking my hard earned money). Again, I liked being here. What I don't like is the owners. It's a quiet and subdued site with nothing but toilet and shower facilities, that is why I liked it. The place could be extremely successful if it wasn't for the people that own it. Surprisingly I'm not too bitter, which probably comes as a shock going on the above rant. This is purely because I'm at a brilliant site called the Quiet site, just down the road from here and it's perfect whilst being the same price. All's well that ends well. Shame really.

Second time on this site. Toilets and showers are very clean. Site is tidy and neat. Level area for tents. Play area for children. Close to main roads for North lake district. Pub about half a mile away with good beer and food. "Will be back"

Lovely site. Great facilites for cleaning and washing and the toilets are spotless. Will definitely return.

Friendly staff, very clean sanitary and quiet. We stopped there on our way to Scotland, we will stop again on our way back !
