Whilst the job didn't get done until 3 months after it was scheduled to take place (and unfortunately there was a lack of communication and updates during this delay), when the work was done I was very happy with it. The lads did exactly what I asked for, they were professional and considerate, and tidied up afterwards.

The guys doing the garden maintenance are fine and work hard, the problem is with the admin/"management". I was billed around 9 months after a purported gardening visit and, when I asked for some detail of the work claimed to have been done that day, I was promised that this would be forthcoming. However, it never arrived and I was summarily removed from the BGS customer list without a further word of contact/notification (despite having paid another late - only 3 months in this case bill within a couple of days of receipt as I had independent evidence of that work) and left completely in the lurch for gardening support. So, just a word of caution - if you decide it's worth paying the higher rates for BGS to undertake your garden maintenance versus the typical "one-man band" operating in this area, make sure you keep a record of the hours they're on site so you are ready to respond on invoices that may hit you many months after the event.
