After contacting 111 they made me an appointment at the hospital. Although I did have to wait a while, when I was seen the nurse, Lucy was very friendly and professional. She did comment that I should have come in sooner but that was the appointment time I was given by 111. She dressed my wound, gave me meds and referred me to the JR and called me later that evening to let me know they would be contacting me directly the following day. Yes there was a wait but it was out of hours and they were thorough and friendly, and didn't rush me through so probably compounded the wait time after me. Just think if there is a delay, if your being seen would you want them to rush to reduce the waiting times for others or look after you as you would expect? I know what I prefer.

Referred here by 111 for qtip lodged in ear canal. Under advisory to get it removed within 4hours. Advised here was going to be quicker that Northampton general so 30miles and 40minutes later arrived at 10:45 only for no one to be here. No answer at doors or phones. Should shut at 11 but looks like everyone had called it day already. Terrible really for the NHS. Waste of time!

Awful service. They never answer the phone, They don’t offer any help when there. They just tell you things because they are lazy and can’t be bothered to put any effort in. Telling us we’re at the wrong place after making an appointment and then someone else comes out and finally takes us in. Unbelievably unhelpful hospital!
