Nestled amongst terraced houses in the Parklands area of Princes Risborough on the main road to the train station from town. The Bird in Hand is now a wholly owned free house for the first time in living memory. It was purchased by Thame based family run pub company Oak Taverns in January 2019. Now serving over 30 gins, 4 real ales, 2 real ciders, craft beer and an interesting mix of non-alcoholic drinks alongside a delightfully eccentric tiny garden, garden toys for the kids (or adults!) to play with and 'The Lodge', our comfy sheltered outside area, you'll want to come and check us out!

Absolutely exceptional pub. Staff are brilliant and so welcoming, pub is immaculate and facilities are great both indoors and outdoors! Went for the bbq brothers outdoor food event and it was 10/10! Great food, great drinks and great atmosphere! Well worth a visit!

Nice local pub. Lovely garden and good range of drinks. Dog friendly. Inside can be cramped during usual peak times.

We called into this little pub when our train to London was cancelled at Princes Risborough. It was a short walk from the station to the Bird In Hand so we sought shelter there while we made alternative travel arrangements. The owners were extremely welcoming and offered advice on local taxi firms and where best to travel to in order to continue our journey to London. The pub has a great atmosphere and the locals were as welcoming as the hosts.

Very friendly welcoming pub. Not at all adverse to soggy hiking gear having taken a detour from The Ridgeway national trail that runs close by. Passionately dog friendly even throwing another log in the wood burner to help warm the poor mutt up :) Recommended AAA+++
