Burrow Farm Gardens is open again daily until the 31st October.

East Devon’s Secret Garden has lost some of its secrecy! In November 2021 it was named The Nations Favourite Public Garden in a competition run by The English Garden and National Garden Scheme.

When looking for gardens to visit in the South West of England look no further!

East Devon’s secret garden is situated in the idyllic countryside between Axminster & Honiton. The 13 acre garden has colour throughout the year from the spring flowers through to the stunning Azaleas and Rhododendrons in May. Visit in late summer to see the Grasses Garden created to celebrate 50 years of Burrow Farm Gardens.

Lovely gardens with inspirational planting and such a nice feel to it. We enjoyed exploring the gardens and our dogs enjoyed a walk too. The visitor experience is highly commended, the lady on the gate/ shop was just nice and very friendly and recommended a route to walk. It was lovely to see a slightly senior lady enjoying the gardening jobs and made us appreciate that this is a small family run garden. There was a little tea room with friendly staff, a gift shop, plant nursery and an ironworks.

A very beautiful private house gardens. The work is lovely. There are benches scattered throughout providing good rest stops. The only limitation is a single toilet block at the entrance. The cafe on site boasts a good range of food very fairly priced. Beautifully situated and well maintained. Well worth a visit.

This is a wonderful example of diversity, farm land turned into a tree, shrub, flower, insect, bog, pond and wildlife haven, its a beautiful position, amazing array of plants and trees and an ancient field maple in the woods that has a life of its own. It could feature in the hobbit. Also I was very pleased to see a wild flower meadow full of yellow rattle grass, although we were a bit late for the wild flowers, they have all gone to seed now. Also a very nice tearoom, very accommodating and pleasant and beautiful place to wile away a day. We will return soon. Thank you 😊 💓

This is a glorious place. Tranquil and beautiful with plenty of sitting spots. The tearoom was excellent with good food and friendly, competent staff. We bought plants from the nursery section which are healthy and well-produced. Recommended.

Loved this place. Not a good walker but managed about an hour of walking before retreating to the lovely cafe for lunch. Pleased to find that they did Gluten Free Ploughman's which was excellent. And a choice of three cakes.
