Welcome to the Carlisle Dance Academy Website

Established in 2012, Carlisle Dance Academy is very proud to say we have well over 800 pupils in Carlisle, Wigton and Penrith aging from 16months to 85years! In purpose built premises on Lorne Crescent in Denton Holme, we have four huge studios with full length mirrors and sprung flooring. CDA is the biggest and freshest dance school in the city!

We have 10 experienced and talented teachers, Laura, Leony, Joanna, Lisa, Becca, Kelly, Emily, Briony, Abbie and Gabby. Who offer a range of dance styles from Commercial, hip hop, ballet, contemporary dance, cheerleading, tap, street dance, musical theatre and many, many more!

It didn't look very good, a bit rusty, but otherwise the teaching is great, especially tap-dance. It does seem that they teach a little bit fast when you join halfway through term, but otherwise it's awesome!! Not particularly welcoming when you first come in as people ignore you but you get used to it.

It's great for the kids but there is not enough seating, I either have to stand or sit on the floor for 45 minutes, not ideal.
