What can I say, a fantastic team of hard working staff who offered so much support during lockdown. My child has gained so much with her learning, development and interaction with others over the years. Carol has been nothing but helpful and supportive and often goes above and beyond her call of duty. My little one loves her days at the cottage, she is often disappointed if she's not spending the day there and can not wait to take her baby sister there. The cottage is a wonderful setting with a fantastic outdoor space giving the littles ones a wonderful opportunity for learning about the great outdoors.

Dreadful experience, draconian management Our daughter settled well at Chicken Cottage and credit is due to some of the lovely staff. Unfortunately this was ruined entirely by the owner Carol who holds higher regard for her Ofsted rating than the welfare of the children and parents. Emails addressing all parents as “idiots” for not parking correctly in her driveway was only the start. We were not happy with a decision made about our daughters care, we emailed the owner expressing our concern only to have our contract terminated immediately leaving us with no childcare. Our money was also withheld and not returned in full, and terms of contract breached when notice should have been given. Evidently there can only be two possible outcomes, put up or shut up and we have found the owner to be rude, unpleasant and very unprofessional. The nursery rarely utilised Tapestry as a means of following our daughters development, when we asked to see some pictures or see more of what she was doing this was also met with resistance. Overall, a pleasant setting ruined by terrible management. I would not recommend this to anyone under the current ownership.
