Absolutely nightmare home. No communication what's so ever, I received at least 3 maybe 4 calls from the hospital each time when dad had been admitted with infection after infection and sent to hospital with absolutely nothing with him, and not even a call from the home to inform me what had happened " oh sorry the nurse should of called you" that's all I'd get each time. He was basically seated in a chair in the corner and his mobility finally went. He had infected leg ulcers that never got better and finally he was sent to A&E after suffering a seizure??? He was SEVERELY anemic, how the hell they didn't notice considering they check the bloods frequently. To then get told they can't cope with him and they won't have him back... It's a care home for dementia???? Really! To find all my dad's belongings including SOILED clothing dumped in black bags for me to collect! The manager couldn't even face me. Care home lovely to look at but wouldn't recommend. Management are appalling. The staff however when dad first went 2018 were absolutely stars "agency workers" but staff kept leaving and seemed understaffed at times. Since being in a new home, dad's leg ulcers have cleared up he has put on weight and hasn't had an agressive outburst since being there, which apparently he was having quite frequently at the cottage???? Avoid

Not really sure how I feel about this place. Mum was discharged from hospital to this nursing home at the start of the pandemic. There seems to be a high turnover of staff as each time I call whenever I ask questions about mums care, I'm told that they're are new having only been there a couple of weeks. Theres never anyone to speak with when we visit. For all I know the care they are giving mum could be a 5 star service. But with her dementia she can't tell me, and staff are not forthcoming with info for relatives.

My Father is well looked after here at the Cottage nursing home. I’m very impressed with the homes improvement as they are offering activities every day for residents and their families. Staff are helpful and the home looks beautiful. We are happy with our choice of home.

The care staff are brilliant,as for management this leaves a lot to be desired,4 managers in a year and no entertainment for residents for over 4 months, not good enough and would nor recommend.
