Margaret Stoner5 StarWe enjoyed a one night stay on our way to Scotland. Pleasant room with a good view across the garden to the quaint railway station and beyond to fields and hills. Lovely meal in Bar/Restaurant in the evening - more limited evening menu as it was Sunday but after checking with kitchen they gave me lovely Mango dessert not usually offered on a Sunday! sophie cramphorn5 StarThe team absolutely made our stay. So warm and friendly, made a real fuss of our dog too (even with a welcome of some leftover roast beef!) The food was lovely, as was breakfast. Room was tidy and fairly clean. We liked the colors as it felt very peaceful and relaxing. This place is a gem for dogs as there are se lovely walks down to the river very close by. The gym and pool are great and useful to have. I really enjoyed the jacuzzi and pool, however the pool should be monitored by a member of staff especially when children are present. Absolutely would stay again.

Phil Jackson5 StarNice room, good size, and good sized bathroom. Breakfast was really good, make sure you book including breakfast. All the staff we had dealings with were great. We ate in the bar and the menu isn't extensive but all the food we had was great. Nice selection of beers.Thursday 2nd June 2022
Susan Carswell5 StarAfter a bad experience last year at the crown my sister and i decided not to go back but looking at latest reviews we decided to book night on Fri 1st July and were very impressed with the refurbishment it looks fresh and welcoming,we ate in Walton's and the food was delicious also our waiter was was very attentive and friendly as was all the staff and management,overall we had a great stay and looking forward to our next visit.Saturday 2nd July 2022
