An amazing second hand book shop. Found it by chance, as if a blessing sent by some greater power. Got these five interesting books. There are some cheaper common books and expensive rare books, plenty of choice and polite and helpful staff.

We had travelled from Wirral and it had been a while since we last visited Grange so we were so excited to find 'Daisyroots' open. A great variety of books on my favourite subject 'jazz' on display and a rare opportunity to increase my collection. Looking forward to returning as soon as we can...

Took my 8 Yr old niece into this bookshop who is obsessed with all things books, maps and the lakes/lake district. She was loving looking at all the books of maps and walks on a little stand just as you walk in. She was picking them up and looking at them , deciding which ones she wanted. She's always respectful with her books and spends a lot of time reading. She then moved on to a bottom shelf to look at more books. At this point the man came from behind the counter watching what we was doing. I said she loves books, he said "yeah I'm just checking after the way she attacked them books" pointing at the stand. In no way was she disrespectful with any of the books she looked at. Aren't you supposed to look at books in a book shop before you buy? Also children should be encouraged to read , especially when you consider how many just sit in front of screens nowadays. I believe in supporting little local businesses but sadly won't be returning to this shop, they lost quite a large sale. Just no need for the rudeness and the books will now be purchased off the Internet which is not what I wanted to do

We found Hammond Innes’s The Angry Mountain in Grange 2nd hand bookshop Daisyroots last week. I must have read it about 50+ years ago! Interesting to re-read it now after having visited lots of the locations mentioned, especially this one!

Good selection of modern fiction as well as a wide range of other interesting categories. Well organised and reasonably priced. Recommended
