Roy Barclay5 StarDedham's famous old church is the undoubted centrepiece of the village, with its tower a landmark to hikers & bikers from miles around. Due to its inclusion in the works of John Constable, the church receives a lot of tourist attention & visitor interest beyond its ecclesiastical purpose. Due to this there is more provided for passers by than is typical for a C of E. St. Mary's not only opens daily, but has its own souvenir stall & even wi-fi on-site. The churchyard is also visited by those wishing to find the final resting place of local artist-cum-forger, Tom Keating. His grave is in the secluded, Western rear corner of the churchyard & bears a carved sunflower on the headstone...Sunday 16th October 2022
