I’ve had some disappointing takeaway experiences but this was the first time I’ve ever paid for one and didn’t receive it. The house number for the Airbnb I am staying wasn’t on the Dominos website drop down menu so instead I selected the postcode and entered the house number in the delivery instructions along with a reference to my big white van which was parked directly outside the front door. After placing my order online I immediately called the store to confirm the instructions had been received and understood, “yes no problem” the staff member replied. 30 minutes or so later I received a call from the driver who seemed to be at the correct postcode, only 0.7 miles down the road. Again I gave her the same instructions as I provided initially and we ended the call. For good measure I text her the house number & a google maps pin to the front door of my house. Over the next 40 minutes we exchanged 6 phone calls going back and forth with directions, whilst I stood outside in the bitter cold as she was half a mile away in a straight line apparently using the pin location in "4 different maps". Finally, assuming that my pizza was stone cold, I had no choice but to cancel and request a refund. No goodwill gesture in the shape of a voucher or discount was offered for my ordeal just a simple “ok sorry” and now I wait 5 working days for my money back… Be vigilant Dominos customers!
