Dropped into East Midlands BJJ while in Lincoln for work. Great facility and the guys gave me an amazing warm welcome. Sam is an excellent coach and there is some good talent on the mat. The lessons were excellent, and I picked up some really nice details. I also got in some good tough rolls. Highly recommended.

I moved to Lincoln around a year ago and i wanted to give BJJ a go. EMBJJ was the perfect gym for me to attend. It has a really friendly environment whilst also being a place where you can learn and understand the sport. The gym is run by a great coach, Sam Tweed, very friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help. The gym also has a wide selection of classes which makes it easily accessible. I really have enjoyed my time at the gym and it made moving somewhere new really easy.

I've been training here for nearly two years. It's a really friendly environment with a well rounded set of members that train really hard together and help each other to grow, with a wide range of styles and belts under the same roof. Sam is a great instructor, always approachable, knowledgable and friendly, genuine and connects well with his students.

I started BJJ here and have trained for about a year. If you're looking to start BJJ for any reason you'll need: 1. Someone who loves the art, but more importantly loves teaching it. 2. Has experience and can use that to filter out all the pitfalls and inefficiencies to make sure you get the most out of your time. 3. A friend to train with and learn from. For all this I can unreservedly recommend Sam Tweed at East Midlands BJJ. Very approachable, gives clear instruction, with a very realistic view on technique. What you will learn will work for you regardless of your physique because Sam regularly travels across the globe to learn new skills from some of the best practitioners today of all weight categories, and brings Gi and No-Gi applicable skills to class for your convenience; all for an excellent price. A real gentleman- remember the name.
