Extremely aggressive, argumentative and rude man, whom I assume is the 'postmaster' at this post office. Seems to believe you can't take pre-paid parcels there without using the drop and go service, which is simply not true. If you purchase postage online via Royal Mail from eBay/Amazon, you don't get a proof of posting slip to take in to be stamped. Each parcel has to be scanned individually for a proof of postage slip - without that, there is no evidence of posting the parcels if a customer was to make a claim for a lost/damaged parcel. Perhaps you should put a sign on your door that you do not accept pre-paid parcels at your post office? Of course you won't, because that would be against your service agreement with Royal Mail, whereby you have to accept pre-paid parcels, otherwise you are clearly breaking the agreement that you have with them (which they pay you for). Whilst I appreciate you would prefer customers to buy their postage in store, this is simply not viable for small business customers such as myself, where it is cheaper online, and much more convenient when you are posting a lot of parcels each week. It is not your customer's fault if Royal Mail are not paying you enough to handle these pre-paid parcels, so perhaps it would be wise to not take out your anger and frustration on them when they come to post their parcels. Furthermore, your argument that customers who bring pre-paid parcels in 'hold up the line and make a queue form', this is simply bizarre - if I brought the same amount of parcels in and purchased my postage from you in store, it would take even longer! Therefore, the queue would still happen either way. Upon reading your reviews on here, it is clear to see that other customers have had a similar experience. I would strongly recommend reading up on how pre-paid parcels work, and take note of the fact that you have to accept them over the counter (and no, they do not have to use the drop and go system, that's simply a lie). I have since discussed this matter with both Royal Mail and the Post Office, where both companies have confirmed that you are in the wrong and breaching your agreement. Your terrible attitude and aggressive demeanour is also unwarranted - if you're not happy in the job then perhaps do something about it and leave! I have raised this to the complaints department as you made me and other customers feel very uncomfortable during our visit. Having taken my pre-paid parcels to at least 10 different post offices throughout Nottingham, I have never had any problems until I came here. I do wonder how Royal Mail would feel if they knew you were advocating for their customers to not purchase their services and choose to use other delivery companies! I am convinced they would not be best pleased with you. Read your service agreement with them, and you might just be able to realise that pre-paid parcels have to be accepted through the Post Office - you don't pick and choose which parts of the terms you abide by to suit your own greed. You seem to believe that people bringing in pre-paid parcels are the reason for post offices closing - that is an issue for you to resolve with Royal Mail, not to take your anger on customers bringing the parcels in. These customers are simply using a service that is offered and accepted - if you don't like it, why don't you just cancel your agreement with Royal Mail, and see how quickly your shop closes then. People that are using the pre-paid parcels on a regular basis are mostly small businesses just trying to survive in an uncertain economic time - they are not there for you to abuse and shout at for using a service that suits them. For anyone that reads this review and has a similar experience, make sure you report the issue and log a complaint via the Post Office website. Your reply is laughable. So you are against customers collecting the DVLA forms that the Post Office advertises, so why do you stock them? You would've made a £3+ profit from the postal order charge and stamp, but we used a PO that didn't abuse their customers instead.

According to a recent report, two post offices close per week. With the service I had at Eastwood Post Office, this comes as no surprise. I've been visiting to this branch on and off for a few years, and the ladies behind the counter are always very helpful, but this time I was served by a man who was extremely unhelpful. I prefer travelling to this branch since it is always empty, but our local branch is often very busy, and I believe I now understand why!
