Early Stage Growth

Having overcome the start-up stage, you will be generating revenue, have the beginning of a client base and are ready to take the business forward.

It is time to look at each area of your business to find ways of improving, introduce structure and new systems that enable you to share information.

It is time to build a team of people with complimentary skills to help you achieve your clearly defined goals. 

Expansion

This stage of business growth brings significant change to the way in which you operate. Employees are recruited for their expertise, some of will take on management roles and be keen to fulfil their own ambitions within the company.

There may be legal and financial challenges, and a need to raise capital to enable expansion plans. The need for a clear, shared vision is more important than ever to ensure that everyone is pulling in the same direction.

It is often a time for the business owner to transition into the role of CEO and focus on strategic thinking and planning. 

Maturity

When a business reaches maturity, the challenge is to avoid complacency.  You must continue to navigate through the fast changing business environment, driven by new technologies and unconventional competitors.

In the mature stage of business change is to be expected, whether it's change of ownership, changes to the management structure or time to update systems and processes. Regardless of age, a business must continue to evolve, strive for re-invention and continuously look to the future.
