I visited here to attend my great grandfather and grandmother's grave. A lovely small church in a picturesque setting. Limited parking but a good place to stop off at on a country walk.

Unfortunately I was unable to go inside the church however the burial grounds were well looked after and the surrounding countryside was very picturesque.

The church is one of the earliest in Essex being built in the C11th. Pews are C15th with linenfold bench ends. There is a fine, ironbound, dugout 'parish chest', 9 feet long and made from a single piece of oak. Wall paintings are C13th and have been restored. Well worth a visit -it is open for visitors.
