Needed car hire for three weeks +. Courteous and helpful service from the outset. No problems when I needed to extend original period. Staff were very accommodating. Excellent (new) vehicle provided at very reasonable price. Cannot speak highly enough about this company and its staff. Will certainly use them again if the need arises

Awful experience of this company. Took our van in with a head gasket issue and to have the pistons resleeved, it threw a rod during the test drive, apparently, and when everything was supposedly repaired it was returned to us. We immediately noticed a coolant problem. It wasn't going from the reservoir to the engine so she was overheating. Also, we could smell the coolant burning on the engine and see it smoking. We returned it to Feathers who looked at it, said they didn't know what the problem was but it didn't seem to be doing it anymore. Twice more in the next month we sent it back to them. The engineer working on it basically told us he was fed up of it! Eventually we were told that the block must have been cracked before we took it them initially....bearing in mind we'd driven happily around northern Spain for a month prior to taking it to them....and we would have to buy an engine which they would fit for no cost, or we would have to pay to have the engine checked to confirm it was actually cracked. After much searching we discovered a company and paid a deposit for a recon engine. Said company and Feathers were communicating with each other. Engine company was told by Feathers that the block was cracked (we hadn't had this checked and Feathers refused to check). After a few months it transpired the engine company couldn't get us an engine and we received our deposit back. Throughout this entire process Feathers never rang us to update us or appeared to want to help in any way. Feathers have left us unsure as to what the problem actually is and unwilling to fix our once working engine. Definitely do NOT recommend them and actively warn others against using them.

Contacted Feathers to hire a van for the following day, prepared to ‘juggle’ their next days hires to accommodate me even though I was a ‘first time’ customer for them. Ended up with a brand new van with less than 200 miles on the clock! Unbeatable service and price , highly recommend and will definitely be using them again in the future.
