Fullwood House is a large red bricked home with ten single bedrooms all with ensuite facilities and provides bedded Residential care. The home has large communal area’s consisting a TV lounge, Dinning area with breakfast bar, Music and smoking area a large fully fitted kitchen and two communal bathrooms on both floors of the home. Fullwood House provides a service for Mental Health and Learning Disabilities who require care and support to regain and maintain Independence and daily living skills as well as a safe and friendly home environment. Fullwood House provides a highly trained level of staff support, this is demonstrated in our recent CQC Inspection report with a GOOD rating across all FIVE CATEGORIES. Fullwood has an open door policy with a very friendly home environment, staff are on site twenty four hours daily, seven days a week in order to deliver an effective and individual needs led service to all that live here. Service users are supported and encouraged to develop their daily skills by being supported with domestic activities. Staff encourage both internal and external groups and day opportunities to help build confidence, self-esteem and social aspects of life. Service users are given the opportunity to go on day trips and holidays supported by our staff team. Staff members take part in organising regular events such as Birthday, Christmas, and Halloween Parties for the home with Invitations for family and friends to be able to attend and celebrate these occasions. Each service user are provided with a key worker and co-worker to help build on continuity, routine and reviewing their Individual Person Centred Plans, Risk assessments and Health and Well-being, Our staff team support and encourage to attend regular appointments with all outside community professionals in order to maintain a healthy life style. Fullwood House is located in the heart of Ilkeston, Derbyshire and is a busy, thriving small market town close to shops, supermarkets, bars and cafe's, close by are local amenities such as recreational parks, cinema’s, public swimming bath, museum. Ilkeston will also be provide with a train station which opens in 2017, It already has a very good public transport service enabling easy access to other town centre's in Derbyshire and Nottingham.
