It is an honour to welcome you to Fulston Manor School. We are a large non-selective school with an outstanding reputation for developing young people who make a positive contribution to their community. We are a welcoming school that operates as a family with a strong sense of pastoral care linked to our House system. We have four houses (Cromer, Hales, Morrison and Stanhope) in Year 7 to 11 with vertical tutor groups in each house. This means small numbers of each year group in each tutor group have a dedicated tutor who they see each day. The Sixth Form is a thriving environment for students Post 16 and we have outstanding facilities for students as well as excellent pastoral care and careers support to enables students to make the next steps into further education or employment. We offer a wide curriculum from Year 7 which allows young people to excel in all areas including the creative arts and students are encouraged to develop a love of learning and engage with their studies fully. The school ethos of “Everybody Matters, Everybody Succeeds, Everybody Helps” drives all that we do here to ensure our young people both achieve the best possible qualifications and also grow and develop their sense of self and their understanding of our world. We would welcome the opportunity to show you our school and if you are interested in visiting please do contact us. Hello, my name is Henry Pegg and I am now currently taking up the role of School Captain at Fulston Manor School. I have attended Fulston for 5 years now, and during my time here I have been given endless support from both the teachers as well as my peers, helping me to shape who I am today. It has helped me focus on my confidence, perseverance as well as making new friends. Many opportunities have been presented to me during my time here, as well as roles I’ve taken on within the school. These include: Form Captain, House Prefect, White Badge Prefect, and Red Tie Prefect. These opportunities wouldn’t have been possible without my teachers. The staff at Fulston Manor are easy to communicate with, and they will always provide help and support when needed as well as providing us with extra resources that can help us with our learning. Fulston Manor also does a very good job at getting us ready for the future. The school teaches us how to maintain a good work ethic as well as building good relationships with the people around us. I have made many memories at this school too and we have been able to do this through the use of trips, like the French trip to Paris or Year 9 Camp at Stubbers. Students also have the choice to participate in events such as the Winter Concert. All of these opportunities have helped build on our skills, not only as students, but as individuals. I am extremely proud of the Fulston Manor community, and I am honoured fulfil the role of School Captain at Fulston. I am excited to see what the future holds and how I can help around the school.” Hello, my name is Abi Hook and I am currently honoured to hold one of two School Captain titles at Fulston Manor. During my 5 years here, I have engaged in a number of activities, in particular Choir, Samba Band and Dance Club. I have also taken on a variety of roles and responsibilities such as Form Captain, School Council Member, House Prefect, White Badge Prefect, Red Tie Prefect and now School Captain.  I’ve loved my time at Fulston because whilst it has a rich, academic environment there are also a whole host of opportunities for the less academic among us, such as myself, and everyone is able to thrive and show their own strengths. For example, the Performing Arts Department, in particular, has given me opportunities perhaps other schools may not be able to provide like school trips to the theatre, many concerts and a ‘colours’ tie for taking part in Dance clubs. In fact, unlike other schools, Fulston offers scholarships for both Performing Arts and Sports and I was lucky enough to be given a scholarship for Performing Arts, making me feel welcomed in the school and like I really have a place here. Whilst at this school, I have received endless support from both peers and teachers alike, helping me grow from a shy Year 7 to a confident Year 11. The staff at this school, whilst remaining professional, are very friendly and easy to talk to whether you have an issue with a peer group, need help with homework or just wanted to talk to someone. The people here are equally friendly and it is easy to find people you will bond with and make friends. There is never a dull moment at Fulston and I hope you enjoy your time here as much as I have. After teaching at my previous school for 8 years, making the decision to move to Fulston Manor was a big one. Much like a new Year 7, I wondered what a new school would be like. What would the other staff be like? What would the students be like? Would I fit in? As soon as I started, I instantly knew I had made the right choice. The staff were so welcoming, the students were all eager to be there and before I knew it, I was a happy member of the Fulston family. I have always felt supported by everyone I work with, both in and outside the Maths department, and I can genuinely say, I enjoy coming into work and helping develop the lives of young people and watching them grow into mature young adults. School is such a big part of many people’s life, and it’s no different for me, Michael, who became a student at Fulston Manor just under 3 months ago when I came from the end of my 7 years at Canterbury Road Primary. I found it hard to adapt for I had loved my experience at Canterbury Road and had never known of any other way of school life, however this fear quickly evaporated at the front doors, convincing myself that this was my new school. I am kind of embarrassed to say that I almost forgot Primary school was a thing. I favour no subject other the other for its the teachers which really bring this place of learning and imagination to life. I cannot recommend this school enough as I knew it was right for me when I took my first step on the doorstep. We were delighted that our daughter attained a place in Fulston Manor’s highly sought-after sixth form and she quickly becoming a conscientious, confident and considerate adult. After mentioning her dream to travel the world, they facilitated her travels to Poland and Italy - and we have been able to host students from France and Italy ourselves too, which we would highly recommend! Every teacher at Fulston Manor is 100% supportive and happy to go out of their way to offer extra guidance, and the Sixth Form building is second to none! It has plenty of room to study, in a new, state-of-the-art building. Our twin boys are now in Year 7 and are guaranteed the best education methods and excellent pastoral support. The staff are very much role models at Fulston Manor, inspiring the students to become involved in new activities, raising money for charities and helping the local community. Students from all years also support and guide each other and this teaches them to be generous, compassionate and thoughtful. Coming to the end of their first year, the changes we’ve noticed in the boys is quite frankly astounding. As their sister travels to Italy for the summer, and then onto university in September, we are confident that the boys own achievements at Fulston Manor - and beyond - will be something to write home about too! My daughter goes to this school and was being bullied on the bus to and from school ad when I told her school about the bullying they were more worried about where my daughter lives rather than how safe she is gong t school and back after home after school. Other than this incident my daughter really enjoys school and especially loves French. I also find he fact that my daughter cannot wear a bow that is not black, red or white and if it is too big then the teachers will tell her off, which I think is ridiculous because the bow is just a makeup accessory. here is another complaint: the other day my daughter got tod of for wearing a lip-gloss and got told to take it off, but when you walk around the school all the other girls have foundation, concealer, lipstick, contour, you name it they've got it but nothing happens to them.

Everyone says how horrible the staff and students are and that their grades were terrible because of this school! I got 3 Bs and 7 Cs in my GCSE and I have never had problems with the teachers, they all care and are lovely people! My 6th form starts in a week and I could not be more excited! I loved this school, I got the grades I wanted and the teachers helped me when need and sorted my problems with other students if I had them.

My son has attended FM for 6 years now and even when the choice came for 6th form , it was a no-brainer for us, he wanted to stay. He has always been supported by the school in both curricular and extra-curricular activities, and encouraged to develop his interests. If there are any issues at the school, the teachers are very keen to help and to sort the problem. I feel we are lucky to have Fulston Manor in Swale, the school never rests on it's laurels, it constantly strives to be better and this feeds down to the students. FM is a fabulous choice and any child would be lucky to bag a place.

Worst school in Sittingbourne by far. Spent the majority of my high school and sixth form years here and it was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Particularly in the Sixth Form area. Most of the higher up staff just don't care and many of the students are exceedingly badly behaved and rather nasty on many counts. I hope the school has changed since I was there, I 'graduated' in 2009 when I had a breakdown and had to leave the school. I'm still trying to get my life back on track.

Fantastic School. Lovely teachers and are willing to help you after school with your homework. Great computing standards. Would recommend this school without a shadow of a doubt.
