After walking into Gill’s salon, not quite knowing what I needed, Gill and Molly discussed between them what colours would work with my existing colour and skin tone and mapped out a plan. After a few hours, I walked out with quite possibly the best hair colour I’ve ever had! This is from a lady who has traveled the world in search of a hairdresser that knows exactly what will work. Can’t fault Gill and her team. Thank you!!!

I love giving positive reviews so it doesn't come easy writing this but I have been advised by lots of local friends from Totnes to share my experience after all we want to be guided by our experience of a salon especially when you live in such a small town and the choices are limited. I had a very bad experience at Gill Goddard Salon with Anna earlier this year. I was absolutely horrified at the condition of my hair after two treatments. I have long hair and it was in top condition after lockdown. My hair went from strong and lustrous to weak and split after treatments. I literally couldn't get a comb through it. I phoned and spoke to Molly the junior, she passed my message on to Gill Goddard and Anna. I sent an email which Gill purported to not understand. When I told Gill I was coming in to have words with her she immediately sent me a refund. In order to get my hair back in condition I have needed to get it cut very short but in the first instance spent literally £100's of pounds buying conditioner. I was fuming. Everyone told me to write a review but I felt I should perhaps give them the benefit of the doubt that was until I discovered another person who recently attended this salon not only to have their hair break off after treatment but she has been left with two burn patches on her scalp!!! I am going to suggest to Sarah that she goes to an ombudsman to sort this out and get compensation and money back. The reply to my email was rude and uncaring - her reply to Sarah's was completely disgusting.
