Local taxi company (based in my own village) who seem to always be unwilling to make a booking for me when I call from my mobile number or home number or give my name. Something like 25 years ago when I was a teenager, I had booked a taxi from 3 miles away. And when they turned up I had to cancel it (there were some of my friends worse for wear - we all know how house parties at a young age go). I was told that I would have to pay for the whole cost anyway. I said I was sorry but as I was not using the service I was not going to pay for it. I apologised profusely for not calling them soon enough to cancel but there were only minutes between the situation changing. Ever since then I have essentially been “blocked” from using the service. I’ve never been explicitly told. But I have called to make a booking under my own name and been told they have nothing available and then asked a friend to make a booking at the same time and magically they have availability. Their road etiquette also leaves quite something to be desired; is it too much to put your hand up when another driver stops for parked traffic to allow passage? Essentially I find this small “family” business a little rude. If someone had taken the time to perhaps explain they have a “black listing” policy then I could understand, but to just not tell someone and that person have to work it out themselves is just a bit poor. I also don’t appreciate being “stalked” on social media, displaying my PRIVATE Facebook profile and photograph. Respond to this review like any other company instead of releasing my somewhat private details to the entire local community. Reviews are reviews - some may score you five, great, some may score you one, as I did. I don’t expect to have my personal details shared in the local community in order to “track me down” when the professional way is to answer the queries here. Feedback is about what you can learn from and improve upon. Not blame.

Excellent service to and from gatwick. Taxi arrived on time both ways and on our return, John, our driver even got us milk for a cuppa. We would definitely recommend this company.
