I was looking for a way for myself and my son to do a sporting activity together so I looked into QKD Martial Arts and after a trial lesson we signed up straight away. My son, who is 5, absolutely loves going to a lesson and is looking forward to getting his grading belts. It has also given him a big confidence boost and he feels more able to stand up to other children when they are being a bit bullish. I have also seen a big difference in other sports where he has been a reluctant to join in, where now he is more active in Rugby for instance. I feel this achievement is down to being more confident in his ability from the lessons he is learning in QKD. It is a great place to train and the instructors give variety at every lesson. I would certainly recommend any parent (mum's and dad's or all of the family!) to pop along to one of the classes and take part with their child/children, you never know what can be achieved until you give it a go.

When my son mentioned to me that he would like to try Martial Arts, I've googled nearby classes and found QKD school. We've received a very warm welcome and still attending classes, after nearly 3 years of training! My son got a huge confidence boost over those years and met some great people. I've even decided to join him and now we are working together towards our family goals. Master Coles is amazing teacher and he's got great approach towards all of the student. The whole QKD team is made of most friendly people you can possibly imagine!

We came across your classes in search of an activity to help our son build confidence, respect and discipline. We found this great place to learn and train and coach Gary Coles and his lessons have helped my son grow from a shy little boy, into a confident boy who is now willing to try challenging tasks. My son loves the fun filled lessons and he even tries to teach his friends the moves he learned. We like the way coach Coles teaches kids self-defence, discipline and respect through play My little boy still has a lot to learn, but I am sure coach Coles, as well as all the other coaches at GPC MMA, will help him become the best he can be.

We were looking to introduce our 5 year old to a new hobby, we wanted something that would help keep him active and build his confidence and he was a big fan of ‘power rangers’ so we thought GPC MMA would be a great place to start! He was a little nervous going in to his taster session as it was the first out of school activity he had been to but he soon settled in and was really keen to return. He loves attending the classes because he likes ‘learning new moves, playing the running games and he thinks master coles is funny’. It’s great to see him building his focus and skill set each week and I’m really looking forward to seeing him progress further.

I highly recommend this club and Head Coach Coles. My 7 year old son has been attending for 2 years now and he loves learning the new techniques as well as the discipline, self-control and strength he is gaining as a result of the coaching. Master Coles has a great approach to teaching the kids and keeping them focussed during class whilst ensuring they are enjoying it which is no easy task.
