Rob Rennie5 StarShout out to the staff of Halfords Wells - I use the place a bit on recent occasions; they did not have the bracket I wanted, so their audio guy went and found something similar from his tool box and gave it to me, ... had a fault with a product, but no receipt, swapped with no fuss... shelf did not have the product, someone went into stores and found one. Simon Winter1 StarShockingly bad. I purchased a stereo for my car from them and it came with free fitting. Halfords classed the fit as a ‘complex stereo fit’, but it was totally beyond their expertise. They caused thousands of pounds worth of damage to my car, breaking many of the interior fittings and panels including the main dash panel, and they didn’t even install the stereo correctly.
I had to take the car to a separate car audio company to remove and refit, at a cost of over £600, on top of all of the damaged interior parts.
Halfords don’t retain their staff for long enough to provide them with the training for these kinds of stereo fits, if it’s a simple stereo fit then you’re probably fine, but anything more than simple I would definitely not recommend Halfords.
