We are proud to offer expert tuition in a wide range of dance and musical theatre disciplines for students from 3 years to adults. Classes are held in our purpose designed studios in the centre of Market Harborough.
Founded in 1995 by professional dancer and choreographer, Linda Greene, Harborough Academy of Performing Arts offers excellence in dance and theatre training, by a team of teachers who are highly qualified, passionate about the art of dance and are experts in their field. Harborough Academy is renowned for the high standards achieved, which are evident in the success of former students who have gone on to perform professionally, excellent results from exams with the Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, and the very popular annual show which takes place at the Lighthouse Theatre each March.
Whether our students aspire to a professional career performing or teaching, or simply enjoy dance as an exciting and fulfilling hobby, parents can be assured in the knowledge that their training is in the hands of qualified experts.
The skills they develop at Harborough Academy are not solely for the stage, but they learn valuable life lessons including: Self-confidence, expression, team work, discipline and focus, independence, physical strength, agility and coordination.

The teachers are very kind, patient and obviously highly skilled.
We have been so impressed with the standard of teaching and performance level.
The shows they put on each year are absolutely fantastic.
We know children and adults across many of the stages and they all have nothing but praise for HAPA.

Georgia0255 StarThe best dance school in Harborough. They have brilliant dance syllabus covering all genres of dance. They hold and encourage dance exams if it interested in going into a career in dance. They take all ages from 5yrs to adults. They hold dance shows every year, performed at a professional theatre, and summer schools which are always so much fun to do and be a part of. Teachers have all trained as dancers themselves so you get proper taught. I took classes with them since I was 5yrs old untill I was 21yrs old. I was a very shy child with mild learning difficulties, they helped me boost my confidence and if it wasn't for them I wouldn't love performing and wanting to pursue a career in it now. I made some good friends, and though I'm no longer with them taking classes I do miss it alot that I am always thinking about going back and learning other dance styles that I wish I had done.
