I've used Hatch End Cars on and off for over 7years for airport trips. Some for business and some for family holidays. For my most recent family holiday (4 adults +3 children +luggage 7 pcs) we had booked a large merc Vito. It was comfortable clean and our driver was very helpful and accommodating. The car arrived on time and got to the airport on time and stress free. Booking a few days in advance and having the WhatsApp confirmation and communication makes HEC very reassuring. Our return was booked at the same time and when we arrived at the airport the immigration queues were horrendous over 1hr waits. I simply replied via their WhatsApp message confirmation to inform HEC and within minutes the driver called to reassure me that he is around the corner and will wait for my call before entering the airport parking. Smooth, easy, reliable and great communication is what you need after a long flight and airport immigration chaos. 100% recommend Hatch end cars. I will never go elsewhere. Another group of out same family did not book HEC- cancelled booking at short notice and didn't even turn up for pick up as they got the date wrong even after calling to confirm the day before. Go with HEC you will not be let down.

Have used HEC for about 20 years and it’s not perfect but usually a fair service. Today my taxi to Rayners Lane station from Pinner (from just behind the Memorial Park) cost £9. The rationale? They calculate the journey from base in Hatch End. Uber would have been £5.75. I’m all for supporting a local business but one to watch out for ..,

I arranged a pick up from Heathrow a couple of days before arriving and was delayed in taxiing to our gate. As usual I received a call from the driver and explained to him please don’t park up until I have my bag I’m happy to wait for you (save parking fees)- he agreed. But no he decided to park up and wait 55 mins until I arrived. He explained he has to be waiting for me to come out but I haven’t done this for the 15 years I have used cabs. They wanted an extra £20 for waiting and although I was willing to pay I only questioned the fee with the operator who quiet frankly needs some serious customer service training in listening to his or her customers. The 1 star isn’t really a reflection on the driver but that attitude of the operator. The manager over heard how he was talking to me when I hung up and text’d my number explaining he would call me tomorrow- that still hasn’t happened. December 2021. I’ve found a new cab company now and have them the chance to put their attitude right. Will never use again.
