Located at the south end of Mapperley Top, Haywood Road Community Centre is home to a wide range of community groups and societies as well as Haywoood Road Pre-School during the week, and the venue for children’s parties and community events during the weekend.

The building is surrounded by garden areas and is alongside Haywood Road Green. Inside there is one large and one small function room along with two kitchens.

We are able to use Haywood Road Green with permission from Gedling Borough Council, who agreed to add £50,000 to a recent grant of £70,000 from WREN for a complete redevelopment of the green which is now open.

I have Church at the Haywood Community Centre. It's clean, it's fresh, there's bright sunlight coming through the windows; and I can feel God's presence. Come and experience it for yourself! The Community Centre also has a beautiful garden with an apple tree that bears delicious fruit. You couldn't ask for better caretakers. Apparently the Council were going to close the Community Centre in 2021, but businesses stepped up to donate funds and many signed the petition. Money well spent; and worthwhile support given! I've heard nothing but good reports about Haywood Community Centre in Mapperley; both near and far.🙏🙏💯🥰

It's large and accessible for everyone. Location isn't great as it's very close to large roads and not very visible on a map. Otherwise, nice place. However, the kitchen needs some revisiting, it's knackered.

A great example of community action fighting the Council to preserve a local asset. Loads going on and now the Green is going to be a public park. Enjoy!

It's a quiet park to take kids, can be busy during summer. No parking but can park on street
