Hazel Barn is situated on the edge of Bressingham village which means it is very quiet. Guests can walk directly from the house as we are situated on a designated quiet lane and can explore the immediate countryside. Whilst we are in a rural location we are only 2 miles for the outskirts of Diss where guests can use the facilities of the town such as shops, restaurants and pubs. There is also a train station with station parking on the Intercity line between London and Norwich. Norwich and Ipswich are a matter of 20 minutes or so away by train.

Our guesthouse is located only 2 miles from Diss, a busy market town with it's Mere, shops, pubs and restaurants. Also close by are the attractions of Bressingham Gardens and Steam Museum, Banham Zoo, St Georges English Whiskey Distillery, Snetterton Race Track and the Norfolk Broads

Once you have checked in we give you a front door key to the bed and breakfast wing of the house so if you are attending a wedding or family party you can arrive back to your room at any time.

We prefer guests to arrive after 17:30, however by arrangement we can accommodate other arrival times, if for example, you are attending an afternoon wedding. We prefer quests to arrive by 22:00 however if you need to check in after this please call and it is likely we can accommodate this.

Whilst we don’t cater for special diets in the food we usually serve, if you have a particular requirement please ring to discuss this in advance and we will see if we can help.

Breakfast is usually served between 07:30 and 09:30 on weekdays and 08:30 and 10:30 at the weekend. As we like to serve it fresh we ask our guests what time they would like to be served the night before. As with arrival times we can usually accommodate times outside of this by arrangement. Alternatively we can leave out a self-service continental breakfast if you need to leave particularly early.

Please contact us 48 hours prior to your arrival to arrange your check-in time.

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS

On arrival at the guest front door we have hand sanitiser and request guests use this every time they enter the building. We have reduced our capacity by taking one room out of service to ensure guests are socially distanced. In addition we are serving a staggered breakfast. We have invested in a fogging machine and regularly treat rooms with Zoono Professional surface sanitiser and protectant as used in the hospitality and healthcare industries. This forms a long lasting anti-microbial coating that bonds to surfaces and protects against a variety of pathogens.

The property is in a lovely rural location with plenty of parking. We were warmly greeted at the door by our hosts and shown to our rooms. We were staying for a family wedding and booked two rooms. Both rooms were very clean and the tea tray was fantastic with a great selection of biscuits. The views from the rooms were fantastic and the space in the rooms was plenty. Wifi was good and the TV reception was great. The beds were very comfy and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Our hosts were very accommodating and very approachable. Breakfast is a must....very fresh and very tasty with some homemade jams and plenty of choice from cereals to fresh fruit, full English breakfast and toast or croissants. Very enjoyable stay and will look forward to returning when in the area again. Thank you.

Very impressed with this B&B. The accommodation is really well thought out; with the rooms in a separate part of the house with its own kitchen and dining area and separate entrance. Our room was comfy and modern, and looked out on a field of turkeys, geese and chickens - quiet ones! The hosts were really helpful, gave good advice on dinning options (and even made our booking for us), and provided an excellent breakfast in the morning.

Great country location, clean well designed property, friendly hosts. Comfortable bedroom, view across swimming pool to fields where we saw deer and hares. Excellent breakfast including vegetarian options. The salmon and fresh scrambled eggs was popular with guests.

Last minute booking for a single room as everyone was bursting out of lockdown, was just glad to get a bed, but it was so much more, super place, posh hosts but super friendly. Won't spoil the surprise by saying too much, I was very well looked after and my hosts genuinely made me feel comfortable in their lovely home, easy parking on site was a welcome bonus. I actually ended up in a spacious family room with stylish en-suite shower room at a very reasonable price. Hosts seem happy to cater for short or long holiday or business stays and have gone the extra mile to provide stylish flexible accommodation to suit. Very happy customer and would return with or recommend to friends. Thank you!
