Returned car on time directly to the Hertz Manager (Simon) at Taunton branch, however after we left he delayed entering return details into system until over 1 hour 15 after we left. This then registered as late return incurring extra days rental and our 3 days rental was automatically charged at a very expensive rate (not the rate as previously booked) . Our £123 reservation was then charged at £402 with added dispute over fuel charge. We are very regular Hertz Gold members and have never encountered such poor service at a Hertz location
Ensure you get signed documentation for full tank of fuel when you return. In our case they tried to charge £68 when we had returned full of fuel. Our mistake was to trust the Branch Manager...... Never again.
The same Manager (Simon) could not have been more unhelpful.....
This same manager (Simon) was totally unhelpful and uninterested when we returned in person to query the situation. His only suggestion was to contact Head Office.
I would NEVER rent from this location ever again...

Jon Chapman1 StarAbsolutely awful experience. Firstly was rushed out of the door as it was 3pm on a Friday and clearly that means customer's can sort themselves out.
Secondly the standard of the van = complete rubbish. Wasn't even cleaned (during a pandemic). There was a crack on the windscreen 40cm long, and I couldn't ask anyone about it because they had gone home. Then they charged me £20 for fuel, even though I left them with more than they gave me.
Avoid this place at all costs. Horrible experience and they do not deserve your business.Tuesday 16th February 2021
