Welcome to Hilltops Cattery
Your Cat’s Comfort:
To cater for your cat’s comfort, each pen has been installed with the latest thermostatically controlled pet heaters providing warmth to the sleeping area during the winter and safe, secure ventilation allowing fresh air to circulate. Air-conditioning is provided in the summer. Soft veterinary bedding and toys are also provided but, if you would prefer to bring your cat’s favourite blanket or toys to help them settle in, please do.
Your Cat’s Health & Wellbeing:
We are happy to accept cats on routine medication provided their medical condition is stable. I am trained to administer medication and injections as necessary, according to your instructions.
Please note we cannot accept any cat that is unwell on admission.
Please ensure you bring all medication with you and provide adequate supplies for the duration of your cat’s stay together with details of the care required, such as times to administer.
Any prescription or special diets must also be supplied.
If your cat is a new-comer to a cattery or maybe a little nervous, I use a product called Pet Remedy, which is a natural calming spray. In times of stress or anxiety the nerves get over stimulated, which leads to many different signs of stress we see in our pets. Pet Remedy is a blend of essentials oils and works alongside these natural relaxation pathways to help calm the nerves of anxious or stressed pets. This is free to use and I spray a little into your cat's sleeping area upon arrival.

Feeding:
We provide a variety of wet and dry food unless you would prefer to bring your own. Our guests are fed twice daily and food is checked at bedtime. Water is always available and monitored throughout the day. If your cat is on a special diet and fed at certain intervals or specified times, please let me know and this can be accommodated. Night time Dreamies are supplied, if permitted by the owner.
Please supply your cat’s dietary needs on the day of admission.
Little Extra:
Security:
HILLTOPS CATTERY is fitted with CCTV, security lighting and alarms.
Ease of Access:
Private parking is provided and on-road parking is available. A small slope to the entrance of reception is buggy and wheelchair friendly.
Cleaning:
Feeding and water bowls are cleaned on a daily basis and litter trays are monitored, cleaned and refreshed throughout the day as required. A thorough deep-clean of each pen is carried out between guests. Bedding is monitored during your cat’s stay and will be cleaned and renewed if necessary.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
Each cat must be inoculated against Cat Flu and Feline Enteritis before boarding with us to safeguard the protection of our other guests. Please remember to bring your current vaccination card with you on the day of check in. We cannot accept cats whose inoculations are not up-to-date. Please also remember to have your cat(s) treated with their usual flea/tick treatment at least 1 week prior to their stay.
We have close links with a local veterinary practice and reserve the right to request a full clinical examination if we feel your cat is unwell whilst in our care. Should any veterinary cost be incurred, these will be at the expense of the owner and every effort will be made to contact you should a veterinary visit be necessary.
Please note that we cannot accept un-neutered or un-spayed adult cats as this may cause distress and disturbance to our other guests. An un-neutered male cat will spray and un-spayed females will vocalize.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We reserve the right to turn away any cat who presents as aggressive on arrival. This is for the sake of the cat's well-being whilst boarding, and for the protection of the staff.
