Karl5 StarBought a car at the beginning of August and thought I would give it a few hundred miles to fully test the car before I wrote the review. Well, so far I've racked up 700 miles with no issues. The car was well presented, looked like new even though it is 12 yrs old, well serviced and valeted. Simon was a fair man to deal with, trusted me with the test drive and kept to dates and times for meetings, and gave a fair price. Dawn Dominic5 StarI would highly recommend ‘Simon the Car Finder’ to all my friends, as he’s a really nice gentleman to do business with.
I was referred to Simon at Icknield Car Sales by my neighbour who had bought her last 3 cars from him, and was very pleased with the respectful way that he had dealt with her.
I met Simon and discussed what I needed: I was looking for a smallish nippy car, with a lot of flexible storage room inside, that would become a reliable workhorse for my work and art activities. I felt confident that he fully understood, and was very surprised at how quickly he found a perfect match, and also offered a great price for mine in part exchange. It beat wasting time going around the showrooms and dealerships on a weekend and then trying to sell mine on afterwards! Simon also advised on how to transfer ownership of my old car as part exchange, how to do the new road tax and explained the old road tax refund process, and how to include the new car onto my existing Insurance policy so that I could look for better insurance at a more leisurely pace. My new car came with a service, MOT, 6 months warranty and a ’just call me if there are any problems’ last word.

Colin Cable5 StarBought a car for a family member. Simon was very helpful and arranged for my brother-in-law to have a test drive during these difficult Covid times.
He was vey thorough in going over the cars' details, history and what was included in the price. He was very supportive in trying to get the car available for my-brother-in-law and even offered to deliver it to him on New Years Eve!

He gave us great advice on various models, allowed us to test drive them and we did not feel under pressure to complete a sale. I came away happy that we had a fair and reasonable deal for both parties including a part exchange and the car we bought was in immaculate condition when we collected it, fully serviced and valeted.
