In-Ex Design is a family business with over 30 years of experience in the Kitchen industry. We are passionate about kitchen/ bedroom design and have always been focused on offering an ethical and highly personal service to our customers. We specialise in high-quality furniture, incorporating all of the latest innovative designs and styles from modern gloss finishes to traditional wood.
We can offer a wide range of work surface choices from Marble/ Quartz, to Solid wood, Acrylic, and Laminate in a vast range of finishes.
We work very closely with architects builders and individual customers offering them dedication, creative designs, and expert craftsmen who hold two very distinct disciplines at the heart of our business; creativity and customer care, both of which are essential for the high levels of service we offer our clients at every stage of the journey, from the conceptual stage through to completion.
A lot of our work is based on personal recommendation. We provide practical and creative solutions that inspire and are dedicated to providing quality kitchens/ bedrooms at competitive prices.
We only use our own fitters who will always go that extra mile to ensure our customers have a quality installation.

From the first contact in the showroom, through to the home visit and planning, Barry was nothing short of excellent, made good suggestions as to layout, but also suggested using existing internal racks in the units, so he was not trying to sell unnecessary products. The fitters, Andy, Eddie and Bo were punctual, with nothing too much trouble. They cleaned up at every stage, and when finished made sure we were happy with the end result. Hillel Horwitz2 StarArranged a design consultation which was confirmed in writing. I live 22 miles (45 min drive) away from the shop but had been recommended by a friend so took the morning off work to have my consultation, having sent my plans in beforehand and having been asked a load of questions over the phone when I set the appointment. Despite all that as I sit down for my appointment and the design consultant tells me for the first time that there is a £200 fee for the consultation which is taken off the kitchen cost if I purchase. So I am being charged for a quote basically, which most kitchen places do not.
I pointed out that after a 40 min drive, having been told I can’t get a costing over the phone, having had a phone call talking to the consultant and email confirming the appointment, telling me there was a £200 charge for the first time as I walked through the door was totally unacceptable. Was told that was what John Lewis do so take it or leave it.
After I stormed out and calmed down a little, phoned head office, told the story, it was referred to someone else who also preferred me to drive away than do the consultation. Not pre-advising of a charge is a very shoddy business practice and they showed no empathy or flexibility to waive the charge. So I don’t care how good their kitchens are I for one will never use this crowd.Monday 11th July 2022
