What can I say, first class service. When we rang to book a table we where told the kitchen was closed today due to staff shortage, when we asked if they could recommend anywhere else that has a good choice of gluten free food they offered to open the kitchen for us. When we arrived we had a very friendly welcome, first class service and first class food. Highly recommended. Thank you so much. You can say you have the Ramsay seal of approval, just not Gordon haha.

Stayed for two nights as a solo biker. Facilities had everything required, however the customer service is the selling point; owner and staff go above and beyond. Highly recommend if touring the area or for a stop over. Only 35min drive to Kendal so easy for Lake District access. Plus with a lovely coastal road great for biking/walking on the doorstep something close if 35 mins is too far.

Stayed for one night while visiting friends in the village. Quiet, peaceful, restful area. The owner and staff are Very friendly and helpful. Lovely pub good selection of beers. We'll definitely be back again.

Nice pub with good food. Nice quiet carpark to spend the night in our motorhome, toilets open all night behind the pub. Chemical toilet elsan point in the carpark.
