Big on flavour!

Fiercely independent since 2009 we cook from scratch and serve premium cocktails with bags of personality. We work with the areas best suppliers including Bournemouth's Bad Hand Coffee, Ringwood's Bake House 24,  Dorset's Black Cow Cheddar and pure milk vodka and of course our fantastic New Forest butcher and Poole based fishmonger. There's beer from Brewdog and Sierra Nevada and a rather clever wine and gin list.

Starting out as Reef Encounter we have grown into James and White, same team, same food but we don't have to explain what happened to the Boscombe Surf Reef anymore!

We just had a delicious meal here. Naomi who served us was friendly, welcoming and looked after us very well. The food and its presentation was superb and the prices were very reasonable. . . We'll worth a visit.

On holiday and walked in on the off chance. Service was quick and staff were friendly. There is a good selection on the menu and our food was amazing. Seasoned well and cooked to perfection. There is also a good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.

In Christchurch for a one week holiday. No local knowledge of where to eat so we tried this place on Thursday evening. Top quality food and service. Its very close to the Priory which is the best part of town.
