James Davies Wedding Photography

Hi, i'm James and i'm a Kent wedding photographer with a natural, creative & unobtrusive style. I offer full day documentary wedding photography coverage across Thanet, Kent, London and destination weddings abroad. My reportage style is all about photographing the day as it naturally unfolds, composing myself to capture the real, raw emotion of the bride, groom and guests as they smile, laugh and dance throughout the day. A typical wedding for me starts from the very beginning of the day as the bride gets ready with her bridesmaids all the way through to the crazy dance moves at the end of the night. I will photograph the tiny details (flowers, dress details etc) as well as the epic moments all in an unobtrusive way. My mission is to make you feel comfortable and relaxed on the day so I will never ask you to do any silly poses or order you around, instead I will work around you and your guests in capturing moments in a way that goes unnoticed. Where do we even begin. James was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. We received our wedding photos back very quickly and loved every single photo. James captured the best moments of our wedding day at Quex park (06-08-21) and was the perfect fit for us. We chose James for his candid shots that we hoped would help capture all the moments we might have been too busy on the day to notice, and he did not disappoint! Looking through our photos we have shared some laughs and enjoyed reliving the day again with a range of shots capturing our guests and venue perfectly. James is incredibly approachable and down to earth which takes out the potential awkwardness around a stranger photographing you on such an important day! James maintained good contact before and after the wedding and was also very accommodating to our preferences and was happy to change plans on the day to take photos in different orders, with different guests etc. The photos are fantastic and we highly recommend James! Would highly recommend. We booked James for our wedding which was originally planned for November 2020. Due to the pandemic we had to re-arrange and James helped us arrange for our new date with no complications and at no extra cost - we really appreciated this as it was obviously quite a stressful time to be planning a wedding! We finally had our wedding day on Nov.6th 2021 and it was well worth waiting for! James did an amazing job of capturing our special day and was incredibly skilled at just blending into the background but somehow managing to capture all our family and guests in some beautiful natural shots. We were so happy with our wedding album which we received promptly after our special day - as well as obliging us with a few sneak peeks just a few days after! Both of us wouldn't hesitate to recommend James Davies as your wedding photographer - he did an amazing job and we will treasure our beautiful photos forever. Thank you so much James!
