“The curtain finally falls on JD Parties”
It is with deep regret and sadness that I have to inform you that after lengthy discussion and assessment of the current economic climate, we have decided to wind up the JD Parties operation. This is not a decision taken lightly having successfully hosted Christmas Parties around the UK for over 25 years. As you know we were unable to run our events in 2020 due to the pandemic and we are concerned as to the regulations that the Government may have to leave in place or re-instate again, by necessity, later in the year. This would consequently impact the enjoyment of our guests and at worst the cancellation of events with the resultant impact on the commercial viability of the business.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and your friends and colleagues for attending our parties over the years and I hope that on each occasion we have given you a night to remember.
Perhaps an apt sign off on this occasion….

Ann Chadwick5 StarMy friends and l have attended the party at Tatton Park for many years now ( we tried ‘The Best Parties Ever’ one time , not a patch on JD Parties).
We have always found your parties be excellent with superb entertainment and location. It’s so organised and professional, everything is catered for.
It’s so special with all attendees dressed in there best outfits. The disco this year was brilliant.
Special thanks to Tia, for all her help.

Michelle St John1 StarWent to Tatton Park for New Year's Eve. 3 of our party are vegetarian. Have been before and it's been excellent - not this time. As we were ushered in to get our champagne the lady at the door was curt and miserable more like she was ushering kids into a pop concert. We could let that slide as the floor show and decorations in the holding area were excellent. Things were going well until the guy on the balcony announced dinner was about to be served. While he was talking, on the big screen behind him, they were showing old films of animals clearly in distress virtually being tortured as circus entertainment. The images were very disturbing and upsetting. As for the dinner, the vegetarian main option was so inedible all in our party couldn't eat more than a mouthful. We were so disappointed we left around 11.30pm. I rang the company today to lodge my concerns but also highlighted the positive aspects of the food and show. I made no reference to wanting a refund. The lady dealing with the call was quick to inform me that no-one else had complained about the images but it could be discussed by the review committee. She informed me she had eaten the vegetarian option and loved it implying we had exacting and difficult standards! It seemed that the issues myself and those in my party had were our problem not theirs. Regrettably, their response has left me no option but to write this review.Wednesday 2nd January 2019
Margaret Lewis5 StarOur party really enjoyed the 20s Themed Christmas Party at Thornton Manor on the 13th December. It has definitely been the best and most enjoyable Christmas event that we have been to in several years.
The organisation, setting, entertainment, service and food were all first class. It was brilliant to have the singers and dancers performing from the reception area of the marquee at the start, right through the meal and up to the time of the disco afterwards. The disco was also very good - far better than many we have experienced! One of our party said that the whole event had been faultless - high praise!

tuesday bramley5 StarI organised my works Christmas party through JD parties and from the initial enquiry to the event their communication was spot on. The event itself was so well organised and the event itself was amazing. Special mention to Becky Taylor and Tai OCallaghan for all their help and brilliant service.Monday 9th December 2019
Carlo Mullen1 StarWent to the party on the 7th of December 2018, been before a few years ago and this was a complete disappointment, the food started being delivered at 8 and we got our deserts at 10., 3 of our guests had to complain because they did not receive their starters. The event was due to run until 1.00am but even though we had jackets on the seats they removed our partially filled wine glasses at 12.15, then at 12.30 whilst we were on the dance floor they removed our bottle of wine which had hardly been touched, to me this is stealing. The disco at the end, ended abruptly and there was no festive songs, this is not a xmas party, and I wont recommend this place to anyone, this function has gone downhill in a big way-
JD Parties contacted me and I was pleasantly surprised, they were very courteous, and understood my concerns, I felt I had to get rid of my frustrations, and thankfully I will still be going to future JD Parties, all in all it was probably an isolated case, which has now been sorted, just want to thank JD for the way they dealt with this,Friday 14th December 2018
