Fantastic service on thursday. Michael in the bed/mattress dept was very knowledgeable, good advice given. Mattress purchased for delivery next week. When I explained I had to have a back procedure next week, he arranged for it to be delivered that day. Imagine my surprise when a gentleman appeared in his own car with the mattress in the back. I was so very grateful. Thank you so much for brilliant and thoughtful customer service Ipswich branch

My rating is for one particular employee at the Ipswich store, Nathan (bed/mattress department). He was an absolute star and helped us understand what we were looking for with no pressure. Nathan was incredibly knowledgeable and we left with a much better understanding of mattresses and pillows. Never had customer service like it honestly! Thanks Nathan!

I had a fantastic experience at John Lewis Ipswich last week. I had a tricky online return to do, where I had been messed around by Customer Services and decided to come into store to solve it with a member of staff after receiving several incorrect items. The sales lady, Estell (I believe that's how you spell it), was very patient, kind and listened to my concerns and reordered the correct items. Shopping for my new garden, She helped me and my husband pick some outdoor furniture and was insightful with her product knowledge. I fell in love with a grey couch but it was not in stock, which was disappointing (due to the 4 star rating) but I will definitely be ordering when it comes back!

After a very bad experience in John Lewis last year I never thought I’d be now writing this very positive review. We visited John Lewis late last year to try and resolve an ongoing issue with our curtain order. We were initially served by a very rude lady who wasn’t willing to help us at all (not the service you expect from John Lewis). We remarked to a younger member of staff as we were leaving the store about our awful experience. The younger lady named Holly couldn’t have been more helpful. Holly was not only very apologetic but then looked into the issue and dealt with it in a speedy and efficient manner. We visited John Lewis again last week with our daughter to purchase a pushchair ready for our first grandchild to be born in June. We were delighted to be served by Holly again. Holly’s product knowledge, professionalism and customer service was impeccable. Nothing was too much too ask and she dealt with our very nervous, anxious daughter brilliantly filling her with confidence and reassurance. No pushy sales and trying to sell us the most expensive items. Instead she took the time to listen to our daughters needs and patiently showed us through the ranges and gave us such articulate information. We hope this will find its way back to Holly in Ipswich. Thank you for completely changing our opinion of John Lewis! What was once a letter of complaint will now be a letter full of praise and thanks - a credit to John Lewis.

During our shopping expedition this evening we had 3 very helpful staff. Ian was great, he took us to the area where the stand was for the crockery we wanted to purchase, he searched high and low for excess stock. In the end we had to order more on the click and collect the next day which we set up. Time was running out as the store was close to closing so he also collected a large heavy item for us and brought it to the tills for us. Unfortunately, when I returned home, after checking the items, I noticed one piece of crockery has defects, so, I'll be returning it.
