We were a group of 14 people, including 7 noisy children, plus 2 dogs, and we can’t fault the service or the food. The staff were friendly, attentive and patient. Our meals were excellent quality, delicious and generous sizes. The setting is really lovely, both inside and out. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening.

My family visited The Kings Head last July for my Mum's birthday and had such great food and wonderful service that we returned on our annual Norfolk holiday this week. On the whole, the food was tasty, if somewhat overpriced; for a £17 "Aubergine bake" I was expecting more than half a stuffed Aubergine. My partner who is also vegan ordered a hummus sandwich which was underwhelming and very basic. The staff were reluctant to make the sandwich in the first instance as it was 5.05pm when we ordered and they stopped sandwiches at 5pm... not especially accommodating seeing as we were one of four tables and the only ones eating (not to mention it is one of the two vegan options on the menu so perhaps a good idea to carry this one on into the evening). The real let down was the service, which was dreadful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Staff were uninterested, rude and obnoxious. We assume that management must have changed in the year since we last visited. Baby change is also a bit of a nightmare. My partner went to change our son and was told that baby change is in the ladies. I took my son into the toilets but the changing table is over a toilet in a small cubicle and once down, you can barely fit behind it, especially not with a changing bag slung over your shoulder. We ended up changing him in the car! This place is in such a lovely location and promises a lot, but this time fell short of our high expectations from last year.

Best value pub meal we had during our time in Norfolk. Food was piping hot, everything available, great tasting and good service. If I had one comment it would be that the bar were struggling to keep the glasses cleared into the washer and so a large part of the bar area wash full of dirty glasses. They were extremely busy so understand this was probably a one off. Plenty of parking and old style pub inside

We had a three night stay and from the moment we walked in to the pub we were made to feel so welcome. The staff were all friendly and polite. Every meal we ate was cooked to perfection and presentation was great The whole of our stay was amazing and will definitely go back. 😄

Lovey old Inn. Had two nights here and can't fault it. Food was excellent. Nice garden outside ready for summer visitors!! The place is well situated for visiting Holt and the North Norfolk coastline.
