This is a proper English pub that make you feel welcome, friendly and very polite staff. It offers, weekly karaoke, monthly band and live music/open mic nights. Great selection of beers, reasonably priced and the pub is very well looked after and managed by the very friendly landlord Paddy. Sadly, not many pubs like this are around anymore!

I've known Paddy who runs The Lark Rise for over a decade. I first met him when he was landlord of The Horse & Jockey. Great staff and service. No change in this respect. At The Lark Rise the layout, facilities inside and out will satisfy the majority of customers. The layout of the main bar is whatever your interest, darts, pool, sport on TV, music selection or a quiet corner you'll most likely to find it. With some events, pop in early to claim your spot. Highly recommended! Don't take anyone's word for it - try it yourself. By the way the sheer number of regulars can't be wrong
