A lovely local option for high quality meats. Their dry aged beef is excellent - I've just finished a piece of their fillet steak which motivated me to write this review. I've seen some reviews mentioning their prices. Yes, it's more expensive than buying from a supermarket, but I think the quality difference is proportional. Also highly recommend their frozen pies (huge amount of meat inside compared to supermarket options - they do cost about twice as much, but then they do contain about twice as much actual meat) and their baguettes as well. Staff have always been very friendly and welcoming too.

Great butchers with amazing locally sourced produce... always love popping in and grabbing a quick scotch egg with deliciously seasoned sausage meat wrapped around the egg; sausage roll with a meaty filling; and homemade streak bakes with tender chunks of beef in a rich gravy... They also have pre-made dishes like lasagna, meatballs in a tomato sauce, and pies with various fillings which is so convenient and all round delicious...

Just purchased the best steak pastry and sausage roll I had in my life! Absolutely delicious!! Fresh and hot. The service was super fast, great energy! I’ll be back again tomorrow 😁

I’ve shopped here many times before. More recently I find the staff generally unhelpful/unapproachable. Let’s be frank buying meat isn’t a cheap pastime and today I wanted a rib of beef for four. The only rib on display was way too expensive. I was very clear about what I wanted. It wasn’t what I bought…long story short is the rib I received was ridiculously small, won’t feed the four I had asked it to and I felt embarrassed, so much so I accepted it. Please learn to be helpful, smile more and listen. I won’t be back. AFTER RESPONSE Just to be clear. The last rib I purchased was 3 weeks ago, was £47 and was excellent. The one offered today was £67, I explained that I wanted to spend £45 ish for 4 people. The rib I was ‘given’ was £26…a waste of money. We’ll need to fight over it!

A very nice selection of meats & prepared items. The chicken was very tender with good flavor. Scotch eggs delicious. The beef & pork selections plentiful. The staff was quite helpful, friendly & patient. I will return in the future.
