Only popped in for a pint. Didn't see much evidence of the recent face lift. This isn't meant to be negative. I like your pub the way it is. Too many people overdo renovations, and ruin a decent pub. You obviously didn't. Well done.

Good old fashion city pub. Staff very friendly. Air conditioning working, especially this weekend 8th July, expected to be hot. Camera discounts available with showing members card. Well worth a visit.

Handily situated near restaurants and the Theatre , Lily’s is an oldish pub with a welcoming feel as you walk in. A few different ideas and styles are evident in terms of decor and furnishings giving the impression that dear Lily is trying to keep everyone happy. There are a broad range of good quality real ales and a couple of alcohol free options for boring people like me. TVs to keep sports fans happy and usually a friendly chat to be had with locals at the bar. Not a huge pub and our only criticism is that a live music duo and announcements of Pub Quiz answers were ear splittingly loud when stood at the bar with some very amusing and unique pronounciations of the answers that was definitely great comedy value. A really likeable pub with good ale in a great location, will certainly visit again.
